SHIPPING POLICY

All products are subject to availability.  We reserve the right to limit the quantity of products we supply, ship only part of an order or divide orders into multiple shipments.   Because we do not manufacture in series, each order will be handled individually.  Our policy is to give our customers unique, exclusive and custom pieces. That is why we may deliver immediately only those pieces that we have in stock. Otherwise, all orders will enter production as received, so we take an average of 10-15 business days to produce and ship them.  Those pieces that carry a lot of manual labor, may take up to 30 days to be produced. That is why our delivery time varies, depending on availability and the model chosen.

To give a good service we are in the best willingness to keep our clients informed.

​All purchases are shipped via DHL or by USPS.  For security reasons, all DSchafer.com purchases will require a signature upon delivery, otherwise requested by the customer to DHL. In addition, purchases may not be shipped to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses that are not available through DHL. Delivery times may vary depending on shipping locations. When estimating the total delivery time for your purchase, please allow one to two business days to process your order for shipment in addition to the time indicated by your preferred shipping method. Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. D.Schafer is not responsible for unanticipated delays.

Our customers will have the benefit of receiving a text message and email so that the delivery of the package can be personalized, which would have access to these options:

·       Make a change of date so that the package can be delivered.

·       Make the change of address to be delivered to your office, home or other address.

·       That the delivery is carried out without having to sign off received by the recipient, when it is requested.

·       Perform the delivery at the neighbor's house.

·       Schedule the collection of the package at one of our service centers at destination.

·       Stop the delivery because you are on vacation or will not be in the house, with the option to schedule delivery when you can receive.
 

To make any of the changes described above, the process is simple, since everything is done through the cell phone or email.

​We also reserve the right to alter the terms or duration of any special offers or sale promotion.  All orders are subject to order and address verification and credit approval.  Once your entire order is submitted, you will receive an order confirmation.  If you do not receive this confirmation, the order may not be processed.
 

Standard Shipping
If there is availability, the delivery time is 5-10 working days.  Freight Charges are calculated according to the weight of the product to be shipped.  For Central America, there will be a surcharge of approximately $ 35.00
 
Express Shipping
Delivery in 3-5 working days, as long as we have stock.
 
Delivery times begin one business day after the order is placed. This is due to the time difference between countries.
 
You will receive an e-mail containing your tracking number once your package has been shipped from our distribution center in Guatemala. Visit My Order to check the most up-to-date information on your order.

Gift Packaging
​We provide complimentary gift packaging on orders placed online, indicated as "gift" at purchase.  Items are elegantly packaged in signature D. Schafer style.  We also offer complimentary personalized gift notes that will be included as a handwritten note included with your gift.  Enter your message at checkout or contact us directly.

 

SHIPPING INFORMATION

For each address within the United States, the following charges apply: 

  • Domestic ground shipping: $12. Please allow 4-5 business days. 

  • For each address outside the United States, the following charges apply: 

    • International standard shipping is based on location. Please allow extra time for international shipments.

Return & Exchange Policy for Purchases done through dschafer.com

  • We accept returns of merchandise purchased directly from dschafer.com that are in new, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and unaltered condition, within 10 business days from the date delivered.  

  • For your convenience, use the return slip included in your original package.  Return the packing slip and make a copy for your records.  Not including the return form will delay the process.

  • You are welcome to drop off your return personally in our facilities in Guatemala.

  • Products showing signs of wear or use will not be accepted.

  • All returned merchandise should include the original receipt, packaging, tags, and be in the same condition as when it was received. Without a receipt, a store credit will be issued for the current selling price.  Refunds will not be issued after the return period has ended.

  • DSCHAFER.COM does not offer price adjustments on any merchandise.

  • Used merchandise cannot be returned, so it is recommended that you check your merchandise carefully when received.  A pickup fee and/or restocking fee may apply to large or heavy items.

  • All final sale items are not eligible for return, refund or exchange. For more information, see FINAL SALE section below.

  • Returns are accepted within 10 business days of delivery, and the refund will be issued to the original form of payment. We will process your refund 10-15 business days of receiving your merchandise and we will send you an email confirmation once your return has been processed.  We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that does not meet the above return requirements.  Your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account. 

  • Use the original shipping box and packaging materials to return the merchandise. 

  • D. Schafer will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that any return package is lost, stolen or mishandled.

  • All returns will be credited to the original form of payment, unless otherwise specified. Any requested exchange item(s), if available, will be sent to you via DHL at no additional cost. Any new orders are subject to product availability.

  • If for any reason you have lost or misplaced your return label, please contact a Client Services Representative for a replacement shipping label.  You may also return the package at your own cost.   

  • Shipping charges are not refundable.

  • Upon receipt of returned goods, D. Schafer reserves the right to deny refund if the merchandise doesn’t meet return policy requirements. You will be refunded the shipping cost only if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.

Gifts
When a gift is returned it may be exchanged for a new item of equal or greater value. Otherwise, the purchaser’s credit card will be refunded. No merchandise credits will be issued.
 
Final Sale Items
The items listed below are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange:
•All sale items or promo code items
•All personalized items  
•All purchases of fine jewelry and fur
 

Changes & Cancellations
If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please send an email in the next 24 hours to customerservice@dschafer.com. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request. However, once a product has left our premises for shipping, the purchase cannot be cancelled or modified until the product has been received by the customer and returned to us in accordance to our return policy. If you would like to purchase a different product, please visit our website or contact customerservice@dschafer.com.
FINAL SALE items may not be returned or exchanged (read final sale items).

Custom Duties & Taxes

  • As soon as the items arrive at the destination, sales tax on imports, customs duties and handling costs will be determined by the respective customs office.

  • The recipient will then be invoiced by our logistics partner DHL. By submitting your order and paying and/or delivering the required information, you concede to the import regulations of the respective items.

  • Import regulations vary from country to country.

  • Customs duties, sales tax on imports and handling costs that were charged to the recipient by DHL by order of the customs office cannot be refunded by D. Schafer, even if these items are returned.
